Nairobi: Spotlight on German Documentaries @ KIFF

German documentary movies at KIFF 2012 on November 1st and 2nd

Don't miss the Nigerian premieres of Jargen Ellinghaus' "Cross and Banner" (Glaube Sitte Heimat) and Miriam Fassbender's "Foreign" (Fremd)!

Kenya International Film Festival 2012 presents this week two surprising German independent documentary productions at Starflix Cinemas Prestige Plaza Ndong Road and Alliance Franciase. Both movies have been exhibited at numerous film festivals, among those Dok Leipzig / Germany and Viennale / Austria.

"Cross and Banner", a focus on German traditional culture, is featuring popular Marksmen's Festivals with medieval background. A colourful insight into widespread celebrations with their pageantry of parades, shooting contests, "Kings", "Queens", nobles and clergymen... "The most exotic film of the competition" judged Radio France Internationale after last year's Paris premiere screenings.

"Foreign / Fremd" will play as the closing film of KIFF 2012 public screenings at Alliance Franciase Auditorium, Loita / Monrovia Streets, on Friday @3.30 p.m.
Both films will be showing at no charge.
