Liverpool chasing the signature of Victor Mugubi

According to media reports, the English Premiership side Liverpool is interested in the services of Kenyan defensive midfielder Victor Mugubi Wanyama. It is reported that the new Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers has listed Mugubi as a potential summer signing in efforts to vitalize the Anfield side.  

Mugubi who plays as a defensive midfielder for Scottish Champions Glasgow Celtic, can also play in the central defence. The 20-year old midfielder has scored 4 goals in 29 league appearances for Celtic this season. He moved to Celtic last year from the Belgian side Germinal Beerschot for 1 million pound.

He’s elder brother McDonald Mariga plays for Series A side Inter Milan but spent last season in Real Sociedad on loan.

Other sides that have shown interest in him include English Premierships sides Stoke City and QPR.
