W. Kamau Bell, a San
Francisco-based comedian premiered his half-hour comedy show on the American
cable channel, FX. The show titled ‘Totally Biased with W. Kamau’
was produced by legendary American stand-up comedian, Chris Rock. According to
his Twitter account, he is "Not officially a Kenyan. A proud honorary
Kenyan."
Chris Rock discovered W. Kamau Bell when he saw his one-man show, ‘The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour’, and decided to produce his show that premiered on August 9th. ‘Totally Biased’ is a satirical stand-up comedy show where Kamau finds a humorous twist in current affairs and news stories, followed by an interview with a celebrity.
The celebrity guest for the first show, which aired last week, was none other than Chris Rock himself. W. Kamau Bell who has received accolades from such respected comedians like Robin Williams has two comedy albums, 2007's ‘One Night Only and 2010's Face Full of Flour’.
