On Thursday, the Board of UAP Holdings Ltd announced that Deputy Group Managing Director Dominic Kiarie will take over the position of retiring Group Managing Director, James Muguiyi.
Muguiyi who has been with UAP for the last 30 years, has overseen the growth of the group’s business in Kenya and expansion into Uganda in 2004, South Sudan in 2005 as well as into Rwanda and DRC in 2012.
The board has stated that he will be retained as a non-executive Director on the board of UAP Holdings and the boards of some of the group’s subsidiaries as well as chairman of the board of directors of UAP Insurance South Sudan, and Rwanda.
The company has announced its plans to list on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) in the next 12 to 18 months.
