Chelsea after Victor Wanyama

Champions League winners Chelsea has now led clubs that want to sign Kenyan defensive midfielder Victor Mugubi Wanyama.
Robert Di Matteo who was named on Wednesday permanent Chelsea manager on a two-year contract, sees the Wanyama as a long-term replacement for injury prone Michael Essien.
Recently it was reported that English sides Liverpool, StokeCity, QPR, West Ham, and Newcastle have shown interest in the midfielder whose manager Rob Moore confirmed he would leave Celtic FC this summer and wants to play for a top flight side.
Wanyama has had a successful first season at the Scottish side Celtic who bought him from Belgian Beerschot last year. The 20-year-old will become the first Kenyan to play in the English Premier League if any of these side signs him.
