Kenya 15’s Squad to CAR Named



Coach Michael ‘Tank’ Otieno has named a 24-man squad that seeks to defend the Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) title in Tunisia. The team features two debutants Strathmore’s Charles Omondi and Mwamba’s Edwin Machanje and sees the return of Moses Kola who replace Peter Mutai.
The tournament is crucial to the teams qualifying for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Kenya will open its title defense against rivals Uganda.

In other Rugby news: The Kenya Rugby Union has unveiled the 2012 National Sevens Circuit. Nairobi will host the opening leg with Christie Sevens hosted by Kenya Harlequins on 11/12 of August at the RFUEA grounds.  
The second leg, Dala Sevens will then take place a week later at the Kisumu Polytechnic grounds followed by the Prinsloo Sevens at the Nakuru Athletic Club grounds on 1/2 September.
The Circiut will end at the George Mwangi Kabeberi Memorial Sevens on 8/9 September at the at the RFUEA grounds.
