Kenya falls by a spot in fifa rankings



Kenya dropped to position 126 from 125 according to the August 2012 FIFA rankings released on Wednesday. Kenyans’ hopes were high after Stars beat Botswana in a thrilling 3-1 friendly at the Nyayo National Stadium; unfortunately, the win wasn’t factored in the rankings.

Here are the top 6 African teams
1.       Ivory Coast (16th Overall)
2.       Ghana (32nd)
3.       Algeria (34th)
4.       Libya (38th)
5.       Mali (39th)
6.       Egypt (40th)
In East Africa, Uganda is best placed at 88th position while neighboring Tanzania is ranked at 128th.

1.       Spain
2.       Germany
3.       England
4.       Uruguay
5.       Portugal
6.       Italy
