August is about to end big with the much-anticipated release
of Nairobi Half Life on the 30th. The invite-only premiere will be
held at the Westgate Cinema before a theatrical run starting from the 31st.
The crime drama will start its theatrical run in a high gear after
its Staring actor, Joseph K. Wairimu clinched the Best Actor Award at the 33rd Durban International Film Festival.
Short Plot Synopsis on Nairobi Half Life (2012)
It tells the story of a young aspiring actor [Mwas] who
leaves his hometown for Nairobi, city of opportunity to pursue his dreams.
Unfortunately, after setting foot in Nairobi he’s robbed of all his money and
belongings. Alone in the big city, he braves the up and downs of life to become
successful.
The film is directed by David ‘Tosh’ Gitonga, and produced by
Sarika Hemi Lakhani, Marie Steinmann, Ginger Wilson, and Tom Tykwer.
