The bank which has operated in Kenya for over 95 years is among the 29 shortlisted banks in Africa that won the award after an exclusive survey to be published in the May issue of the magazine.
Winners including Ecobank, Uganda's Stanbic Bank and Ethiopia's NIB International Bank were selected on the basis of growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, competitive pricing, customer service and innovation.
This is the fourth time Barclays Bank Kenya has bagged the prestigious award after being named the best in the years 2008, 2009 and 2010.
