NB: Participants of this session are required to have drawing skills and the session itself will involve art work. Hence, those who have an interest in art are encouraged to register.

Materials to be used during the Manga Workshop will be provided. So as to get the most out of this session, be there on time.

Malawi’s Embassy in Kenya to re-open

After remaining closed for close to ten years, the Malawian High Commission in Nairobi is set to re-open in a move geared at strengthening relations between the two nations.

Plans by the Malawian government were revealed on Saturday, when President Mwai Kibaki and Malawian President Joyce Banda met at Speke Resort in Kampala, during the ongoing 16^th Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) Heads of State Summit.  

Revamping the Kenya-Malawi Joint Permanent Commission that used to meet every two years was top of the agenda in the meeting.

Nairobi Attacked Again

Kenya is mourning the death of 6 people who lost their lives in a grenade attack at OTC bus terminus, downtown Nairobi. The attack which has been blamed on the Islamist Shabaab militia also wounded 63, according to a report from the Interior Minister George Saitoti. Those injured are undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.

This is the second attack at the same place after that of 24 Oct 2011 and the deadliest since the August 1998 bombing of the US embassy that claimed 213 people and wounded 5000.
