Iran is making efforts to fortify trade relations within the
East African Community (EAC) with particular interest in Kenya and Tanzania. The
Iran government has sent its first vice president Mohammed Reza Rahimi to the
region so as to secure a cooperation pact and address the trade imbalances. The
agreement is expected to double its development aid in finance, energy, agriculture,
and health services.
