The gospel music queen, Emmy Kosgei has been nominated for
the prestigious Africa Gospel Music Associations (AGMA) awards that will take
place at Golders Green Hippodrome, London on July 7, 2012.
The ‘Taunet nelel’ artiste has been nominated in four categories that include Best Female Overall, Song of the Year ('Ololo'), Album of the Year ('Ololo'), and East Africa Artiste of the Year. The always-jovial Emmy told the press she received the nomination news Friday afternoon and she’s grateful that people appreciate her music.
She will also perform in the live event alongside Congo’s Makoma, Ghana’s Royal Priesthood, Zimbabwe’s Mkhululi Bhebhe, and UK based Tayme Tee and Atta Boafa.
Other Kenyan Nominees Include Eko Dydda (Artist of the year-East Africa, Song of the year-Psalms 23 and Male Artiste of the year), Daddy Owen (Male Artiste of the year and Video of the year-‘Dakika Tatu’ ), Kambua (Artist of the year-East Africa), Willie Paul (Artist of the year-East Africa) and Billy Frank (Producer of the Year).
