2012 Internews Storyfest Awards winners

The 2012 Internews Storyfest Awards ceremony was held on Friday evening at the Hotel Bontana in Nakuru.  

An esteemed judging panel of former BBC’s Focus on Africa Editor Joseph Warungu, Daily Nation’s Chief sub-editor Ng’anga Mbugua, Media Consultant Sandra Ndonye, Rob Jilo the Special Reports editor Capital FM and Christine Nguku announced this year’s finalists.

J        Best Online Story – Judy Kaberia & Muthoni Njuki, Capital FM

J        Best TV Story – Anne Soy-Mwendia, KTN

J        Best Print Story – Joy Wanja, Nation Media Group  

J        Best Community radio Story – Thomas Bwire, Pamoja FM  

J        Best Long form/ Documentary story – Anne Soy-Mwendia, KTN

J        Best Story on Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision – Marie Yambo, KBC  

The aim of the awards is to celebrate creative, compelling, unique storytelling on the field of Health Journalism.
