Kenyan firms emerged top in the list of UK’s Super brands in
a survey conducted by London-based The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA) and
Africa’s research firm TNS RMS.
The list was dominated by Kenyan homegrown firms, which were
voted for by Kenyan consumers as the strongest consumer brands for this year.
Kenya’s leading mobile network operator Safaricom came out
top of the brands that were researched, in testament of their dedication to maintaining
consumer trust.
According to the study, a Superbrand is a brand that that
represents quality, reliability, and distinction. They are deemed to have
established the finest reputation in their field, they provide customers significant
emotional or tangible advantages over other brands that [consciously or sub-consciously]
consumers want and recognize.
