The Harambee
Stars head coach vacancy has attracted over 60 top foreign coaches, said Football
Kenya Federation (FKF) chair Sam Nyamweya on Thursday.
The
shortlist has 3 Frenchmen, 3 Serbs, 2 Belgians, a German and an Algerian
national with reports that Frenchman Henri Michel is more likely to take the
post.
FKF’s
previous attempt to have a Frenchman in charge was futile as Frenchman Bernard
Lama exited after a short stay due to a rift with the federation.
The position
fell vacant after 2-time head coach Francis Kimanzi was relieved of his duties
but was later reinstated as the technical director of FKF.
Here are
the 10 shortlisted coaches:
- Raymond Domenech (France)
- Henri Michel (France)
- Claude Leroy (France)
- Oto Psfister (Germany)
- Ratomir Djukovic (Serbia)
- Kikov Milenko (Serbia)
- Miodrag Djukovic (Serbia)
- Adel Amrouche (Algeria)
- Luc Eymael (Belgium)
- Tom Saintfiet (Belgium)
