Hope Mwanyuma Mugambi
a third year student at Kenyatta University, Mombasa is among three recipients of
the 2012 Young Environmental Leader Award.
The United Nations
Environment Programme (UNEP) in partnership with Bayer honored the 23 year old for
his project that recycles discarded plastic bags and support income of local
women.
Mugambi was honored alongside two other young people from
Costa Rica and Vietnam in a ceremony held in Leverkusen, Germany.
