Victor Wanyama Nominated for CAF Awards



Harambee Stars and Celtic midfielder, Victor Wanyama has been nominated for Africa’s Most Promising Talent Award during this year’s Confederation of African Football (CAF), scheduled for 20th December in Accra, Ghana.       

The defensive midfielder who is currently under the radar of top-flight English premiership Clubs including Manchester United has been nominated alongside 19 year-old Pape Moussa Konate from Senegal and 20 year-old Mohammed Salah from Egypt.   


Wanyama has also been shortlisted for the Sports Personality of the Year at the 2012 SOYA Awards slated for December 8th.

The list is prepared by the Technical, Football, and Media Committees of CAF, on the basis of the player’s performance for their national teams and clubs from January to November of each year.
