Stars out of the 2013 AFCON



Sunday evening, wasn’t a good evening for Kenya after Hawks of Togo defeated Harambee Stars and its coach Kimazi given matching orders in the 75th minute. Kenya is now out of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after the 1 -0 return match loss in Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo. The goal scorers were Serge Gagkpe who scored in the 59th minute.
In the first leg Stars won 2 – 1, however, Hawk’s lone goal in Nyayo National Stadium knocks Kenya out of the African Cup that kicks off on 7th – 9th September 2012.
[In other news] AFC Leopards have done their National elections, reelecting the incumbent chairman Alex Ole Magelo unopposed. AFC Leopards had a good start in the battle for the KPL title under head coach Jan Koops but has been overshadowed by wrangles in the club.
The other officials who were elected at the Nyayo National Stadium include:
Winston Kitui was elected as the Secretary General
Bernard Murunga will serve as the Deputy Secretary General
