Prime Minister Raila Odinga was conferred with an Honorary
Doctorate of Leadership in Societal Development from the Limkokwing University
in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday.
The honorary degree was presented to Odinga for being one of
Kenya’s charismatic and inspiring leader, and his dedication to public service.
While addressing
graduands, the premier called for closer ties between Kenya and East Asia nations in
the field of information technology with particular focus on the development of
the upcoming Konza City.
Other notable recipients of the Doctorate from the
university include Nelson Mandela and Malaysia’s former Prime Minister Dr.
Mahathir Mohamed.
