World 800m record holder and Olympic champion David Rudisha
was named the 2012 Athlete of the Year at the third edition of the Athletics
Kenya Golden Gala held on Friday evening at the Nairobi Club.
The 23-year old who clocked 1.40.91 to set the new world
record at the Olympics also bagged two other awards, the Middle-distance Award,
and World Record Award.
