Chemngorem Feted at DSTV Eutelsat Star Award

Eva Chemngorem, a year 12 student at International School of Kenya bagged the best poster award during the 2012 DSTV Eutelsat Star Awards. Her entry “Africa united through satellites” beat ten thousand entries from across the continent to become the first Kenyan to win the prestigious award.  

The sixteen year old will join Uganda's Anthony Oyom Peter who clinched the best essay award in a trip to Eutelsat headquarters in Paris, France to gain further insight into the world of satellite technology.

Chemngorem will also have the honor of having her artwork taken into space by an Ariane rocket that will blast off into space from the Ariane launch site.

The DSTV Eutelsat Star Awards are organised by MultiChoice Africa in partnership with Eutelsat.
