Nairobi will play host to the second edition of the East African
Housing and Construction Expo 2012 from Thursday, 6th – Sunday, 9th
September.
Dubbed ‘Excellence in Quality Living’, the expo will offer a
platform for stakeholders and professionals in the building and construction industry
to showcase their products and services to a wide and receptive audience.
Expected at the forum are property developers, financiers,
real estate agents, interior designers and manufacturers as well as suppliers
from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi.
The regional housing expo comes at a crucial time when East Africa
is experiencing a 1.5 million-housing deficit and lagging behind in the supply of
homes. The region is also experiencing a high demand for homes, which has been attributed
to the increased income levels and steady population growth.
