Kirui & Jepkosgei win Kass Marathon 2012

Weldon Kirui and Agnes Jepkosgei emerged winners of the 6^th edition of the Kass International Marathon held in Eldoret, Sunday morning.

Kirui who did not finish last year’s marathon cruised past stiff competition posed by Peter Kosgei and Samwel Kemboi to win in a time of 2:17.44. Kosgei and Kemboi emerged second and third posting times of 2:18.47 and 2:18.51 respectively.

In the women division, 24-year-old Jepkosgei led most of the race to win in a time of 2:41.30 ahead of Purity Metto (2:46.40) and Sally Kimaiyo (2.46.49) who came in second and third respectively.

Kirui & Jepkosgei bagged Sh 1.5 million each.
