Homeboyz Radio’s Kingston 10 Reggae Awards, currently in its
fifth year, will take place in January 2013.
The awards which is based on Kingston 10, a weekly Reggae
and Dancehall show that airs every Sunday from 11.00-13.00 on Homeboyz Radio
103.5; seeks to recognize Reggae and dancehall artistes whom Kenyan listeners consider
to be the best in the genre of reggae and dancehall.
The popular show is hosted
by Empress Della and ZJ Heno.
Among this year’s categories, there’s the Male Artist of the
Year, Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Riddim of the Year among
others.
Some of the nominees include Jamaica’s Demarco, Konshens, Tiana,
Ce’Cile, Mavado, Alaine, Chris Martins, Tarrus Riley, Ikaya, Collie Budz, Damian
Marley, Lady Saw, Vybez Kartel, Tifa, Timeka Marshall and Popcaan.
