Low-cost Android Smartphones by Mi-Fone for Kenyans

Africa's fastest growing mobile device brand, Mi-Fone has done it again with the unveiling of 3 affordable android smartphones. The 3 devices Mi-A200, Mi-A303 and Mi-A400 (Sawa Touch) will retail in the Kenyan market at prices ranging from Ksh. 7,000 to Ksh. 13,000.

5th December 2012-- Mi-Fone, The African Mobile Devices Brand, has responded positively to the markets growing hunger for android handsets with three new additions in the Kenyan Market, the  Mi-A200, Mi-A303, and SAWA Touch (Mi-A400), a move aimed at aggressively cutting a niche for Mi-Fone against other mobile giants.

Mi-Fone continues to enforce friendly market value propositions to customers with its pricing too. The Mi-Android range offers the latest in technology and software at a “People’s price point”.


The SAWA Touch runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), boasts a 4.0-inch Touch screen Display, is 10.5 mm thin, weighing 140 grams, and comes with 2GB SD card pre-loaded with African content including comedy by Kenyan born Nathan Kimani alias JB Masanduku.

The SAWA Touch has two cameras, rear (5.0 Megapixel) and front (VGA), which give crystal clear pictures while the CPU capacity of 1GHz is able to comfortably run various applications on the phone. SAWA Touch also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity and 200 hour battery standby time. Other features include GPS, FM radio and memory of 32Gb ROM plus 4Gb RAM.

The Mi-A303 is a 3G handset that has 3.5-inch display screen, weighs 145grams, is 12.5mm slim, and comes fitted with memory 514MB ROM and 256MB RAM. The rear camera is 3.0Megapixel while the Front is 0.3 Megapixel. The Mi-A303 supports up to 32GB SD cards, has WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity, and is GPS enabled.

The Mi-A200 is a 3G Android, has a 2.8- inch screen display, is 14mm slim, weighs 100grams, with a long battery life of about 200h standby time and talk time of up to 6 hours. The Mi-A200 has 4GB (4Gb) Memory and Flash plus 2GB (2Gb) RAM, and 2.0 Megapixel Rear camera, and 0.3 Megapixel Front camera.


The Mi-A200’s CPU capacity is 800 MHz, supports up to 32GB SD cards, include FM radio, G-sensor and GPS.

This range of Mi-Android phones are available at Fone Xpress Tuscom and Naivacom stores across the country, and are priced between KES 7,000 to KES13,000.

  2. I forgot my pattern for my mi-fone Mi-A200 how can i hard reset it please. I dont even care about the information inside. Its over 2 months now i am not able to use my phone!!!!!
