The 15-acre park will add up as a depot for East and Central Africa, a vehicle logistics centre for warehousing and processing vehicles for the wider region.
Hino, the commercial vehicle division of the Toyota group, has been the leading Japanese commercial vehicle manufacturer since 1973 and started assembly in Kenya last February in Mombasa with a half billion-shilling plant based in Changamwe.
The firm has also partnered with South Africa's Busmark, to introduce high quality commuter buses in the country.
